The Rover Boutique is a Toronto-based speciality online boutique that offers a full range of handcrafted pet apparel and accessories. The Rover Boutique makes pieces they love for the furry friends you love. Their collections fit dogs of all shapes and sizes and have been carefully made with attention to quality, function, and style.
A Fetching New Look
We updated The Rover Boutique’s existing Shopify site with their brand’s new colour palette and installed a premium new theme with custom CSS updates. The theme was then further customized to allow for more functionality and advanced filtering options.
The home page showcases their product collections as well as seasonal blocks so customers can easily shop by product type or season. We also included sections that tell the brand’s unique story and links to their blog.
Custom Product Pages
Enriched Product Information
Custom product pages are enriched with metafields to show off key information for customers.
With a wide range of product types and materials, these customizations are vital to display more than a plain product description. Additional information like materials, care instructions and measurements are displayed based on individual product data.
The brand also needed a way to display their bundle options so we created a custom block to display their bundle options.
Custom Product Collections
Product metafields were employed for extra functionality and ease of use for anyone browsing the site. Customers can now filter by colour, product type or season, making the shopping experience even better.
We created smart collections to display products based on pattern, theme and season so new and returning customers can easily find their perfect pieces.

The existing product descriptions were streamlined to enhance SEO. To optimize the UX design of product pages, any additional product information, like care, dimensions and material was migrated into metafields to make the shopping experience more enjoyable.

We researched and installed a premium theme, which was carefully customized to match The Rover Boutique’s brand.
We created custom bundle blocks on every product page to display discount information. Customers can now save when they purchase their favourite pieces.
